Hey everyone! You may have noticed that I have not been on here in a couple of weeks. Two weeks ago was a little discouraging for me. I did not lose any weight that week so I was a little down. I had lost complete focus that week after breaking below 400 the week before. This week I came on more focused and lost four more pounds and I am back on track and focused again. I hit all my workout goals except for one day this week which was yesterday, but I was sick for most of the day. I am feeling better today and I am back at it again.
The biggest revelation of knowledge that I received in my studies this week is that every time we step foot into a gym we need to know exactly what we are going to do. We need to know what exercises, how many reps, and how much weight we are going to do. We also need to know how long it should take. If we are not focused and know what to do we are wasting our time. We will mess around and do a few things with no exact meaning and either not get a good enough workout or over work a muscle that should be resting. Working out is like a science. If it is done correctly it can be very beneficial, but if done wrongly it can hurt you.
I have noticed a couple people ask me about how often I weigh in, so I am going to throw this new knowledge out there. You only want to weigh yourself once a week at the same time preferably with the same type of clothes on if not at home undressed. This way you are consistent and can get a accurate reading. You don’t want to weigh after a workout one time and then before a workout the next time. It will look like you have gained weight. This goes back to the science in it. You have water weight so when you work out you sweat it out and you weigh less. This is what boxers and fighters do to get down to weight.
Another thing I recommend because it is working so well for me is the 5 to 6 small meals a day. It keeps your metabolism working the whole day and you burn up more of the food in your system. Every time your metabolism works it only burns up so much. This is different for everyone but if you are putting in too much at once the rest is stored as fat. You also don’t want to eat to little because your body thinks it is starving and will store whatever fat it can get. If this is happening then your body will start to eat away at your muscle which is never good.
I recommend if you are looking to make a lifestyle change learn as much as you can. The more knowledge you have the more chance at success you have. I am here to help you with anything you may need. If you have questions let me know. I don’t know a lot, but I have a lot of friends that do. Lol
Love you guys and have a blessed day.
